Excavating contractor serving Mount Vernon, IL since 1994

Bushwhacker Land Management Inc has been working southern Illinois ground since 1994. We started with a simple idea: do the work right, show up when we say we will, and treat every property like it matters. That approach has carried us through decades of changes in this industry, and it still drives everything we do today.

The owner grew up doing this work. It wasn't a career pivot or a business plan on paper. It was a natural path built from years of hands-on experience with heavy equipment, land, and the kind of jobs most companies won't touch. That background shows up in how we approach every project, from a small lot clearing job to a full substation site development.

We are excavating and land clearing professionals. Dirt, drainage, and site prep are what we know best. Our core services include land clearing, forestry mulching, excavation and grading, lot clearing, foundations, demolition, debris removal, and substation site development. Whether the job is agricultural, commercial, or a larger residential project, we have the equipment and the experience to get it done.

Forestry mulching is one of our specialties. It's a clean, efficient way to clear trees, brush, and heavy vegetation without leaving behind a mess of stumps and debris. We work with landowners, developers, and contractors who need a site cleared and ready for the next phase, fast and without complications.

We serve a wide stretch of southern Illinois, including Mount Vernon, McLeansboro, Galatia, West Frankfort, Centralia, Carlyle, Woodlawn, Benton, Marion, Nashville, Pinckneyville, Sesser, Anna, Albion, O'Fallon, Waterloo, Ina, Carmi, and Harrisburg. If your property falls in this region, we're likely already working near you.
